Dane County’s ambitious plan to overhaul the Alliant Energy Center is enjoying new momentum as the county nears a deal with a private company to renovate the campus’s most recognizable building.
The county is negotiating a contract with FPC Live, a division of Frank Productions, to modernize the aging Dane County Coliseum, which in its prime drew big acts like Elvis Presley and Queen but has struggled in recent years to compete with better-equipped venues elsewhere.
