MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) — The Alliant Energy Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday to unveil its newly renovated outdoor plaza.
The new space is located in front of New Holland Pavilion One.
Executive Director Kevin Scheibler said he hopes the plaza will serve as a central gathering area for event attendees, food vendors, and exhibits.
“If you're out for the World Dairy Expo, you're here all day. It's a nice place to relax, get something to eat, maybe get something to drink. So it’s kind of our town square for the Alliant Energy Center,” Scheibler said.
The project, funded by a $3.2 million ARPA Tourism Grant was completed in just under five months.
