Midwest Horse Fair returns to the Alliant Energy Center

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Midwest Horse Fair is returning to the Alliant Energy Center Coliseum this weekend (4/11-4/13).

That is causing some traffic changes on John Nolen Drive. One southbound lane is closed.

Fair spokesperson Paul Nemec said that there is something for everyone, even if you don't enjoy horses. For those who do though, there is a wide variety to enjoy.

"It's kind of a showcase of a lot of different breeds of horses that are here at the horse fair," said Nemec, "We have over 800 horses that will be here all weekend long. It's a really cool time to come out and see things that you may not have seen before."

Horse lovers from across the Midwest and beyond will be able to enjoy a "Journey Home."

The fair includes two nights of rodeo, 30 expert speakers, and more.

General admission tickets are $25/day, or $55 for three days. Children seven and under are free.

Separate tickets are required for certain events.
